Powers and Abilities

The lovely Jade is a female character that made her first appearance in the hit video game, Mortal Kombat II. Characterized as the lifelong friend of Kitana and the personal assassin/spy of Shao Kahn, Jade has played a recurring (and somewhat convoluted) role throughout the Mortal Kombat series since her original debut. Throughout the game, Jade dutifully serves both of her masters until Kitana turned against Shao Kahn. Forced to choose sides in the conflict that ensued, Jade eventually chose to join forces with Kitana, helping her friend to free (and restore) Edenia to its natural beauty. For her service, she is later appointed General over the Edenian Army, dedicating her life to the protection of Kitana and her mother, Sindel.

Jade is an incredibly gifted fighter that is renowned for her utilization of the Fan Zi, Kuo Shou, and Bojutsu fighting styles. Alongside her two weapons (a sharp-pointed staff and “razorangs”), Jade is an extremely deadly opponent who is both quick and agile. Some of her most notable moves include the “Razor-Rang” attack, “Blazing Nitro Kick,” as well as the “Deadly Butterfly” maneuver. Combined with her infamous fatality moves (such as the “Staff Impale,” and “Poll Dance”), she is an incredibly ferocious fighter capable of matching nearly any opponent’s skillset. She is best-suited for intermediate to advanced players, as her moves are easy to learn, but extremely difficult to master.

Personality and Appearance

In spite of her ferocious spirit, Jade is actually a likable character in the Mortal Kombat series, as she possesses a deep sense of loyalty and dedication to her friends. She is also extremely dependable, sincere in her actions, as well as protective. Nevertheless, Jade also possesses a number of bad characteristics, including a sassy, sarcastic, and patronizing attitude toward her enemies. Likewise, she is also incredibly ruthless at times, showing little (if any) sympathy to her opponents.

Regarding her appearance, Jade is an exceptionally sexy figure in the Mortal Kombat series with traits that are similar to both Kitana and Mileena. Although her appearance has changed somewhat since her original debut, much of her original elements have remained intact.
