A follower of Dux Aldric's whose worship of technology borders on the religious. A highly successful merchant, Hassel used his financial power to worm his way into the Imperial aristocracy.

He wields a lot of influence among those loyal to the Dux. His family funded the lion's share of the empire's rune-lens research. He was interested in seeing the rune-lenses being used in the creation of weapons.
