Ed Gein

Edward Theodore "Ed" Gein, also known as the Butcher of Plainfield, or Plainfield Ghoul is the titular main protagonist of the 2025 Netflix biographical crime thriller Monster: The Ed Gein Story, the third season in the anthology series, Monster. He is a fictionalized version of the late serial killer and grave robber of the same name.

He is a necrophilic serial killer who murders and skins women and robs graves to create a "woman suit" for him to wear so he can pretend his late, domineering mother Augusta is still alive.

He was portrayed by Charlie Hunnam.
