Dick Grayson (born c. 1990)[2] was the former vigilante known as Robin, the first crime-fighting partner of Batman and the leader of the Titans. Trying to distance himself from the hero game, Dick became a police officer entwined in a plot to use a teenage girl, Rachel Roth, to bring about the apocalypse. Choosing to mentor her, Dick reformed the Titans to protect her and set out to destroy the Organization, all while trying to overcome his ultra-violent tendencies and reclaim his self control.
Following the demise of Trigon, Dick continued to lead the Titans alongside its senior members and new teammates (including Jason Todd, his successor as Robin), but had to face the vengeance of an old enemy, Deathstroke, as a consequence of reforming the team after it was dismantled by his actions of manipulating the mercenary's son, Jericho, which resulted in the latter's death. With the Titans defeated and Dick left broken, he incarcerated himself to protect his friends from Deathstroke. However, he was inspired by his cellmate's belief in Alazul to keep helping people. After he learned the truth about Jericho's death, he escaped from prison and received a new suit to bring him back from Deathstroke's mind and becomes Nightwing.
