The character of Diabolik is initially a very ruthless thief, a murderer who almost always manages to carry out his criminal plans. Initially engaged to Elisabeth Gay, he then meets the wonderful Eva Kant, who will become his life companion as well as his most trusted accomplice, robbing without scruples from rich families, banks or other people who have themselves become rich, often in an illicit manner; with the proceeds of the robberies they guarantee themselves a comfortable life, as well as financing new and complex criminal plans. Over time, while always remaining a criminal, the character will acquire his own morals, becoming more human; even his partner, Eva Kant, evolves over time, becoming from a submissive lover to an indispensable accomplice.
