Dar Adal

Dar Adal is a CIA Black Operations Director and an old friend of Saul Berenson's. Dar and Berenson served for a period at the CIA station in Nairobi, Kenya, mainly on covert operations in neighboring Somalia (Homeland Novel: Saul's Game). Adal did used to be head of black ops (as we know from late Season 2).
Dar Adal is not one to leave anything to chance. He will meticulously plan out every detail, and have contingency plans for any eventuality. He is controlled and precise in everything he does. He was very disappointed when that waffle place closed! He likes order, routine, predictability. He acts to preserve the status quo.

In the sixth season, Dar and Saul were designated as the CIA's representatives for Keane's transition. Adal didn't think this role would be assigned to the Director of National Intelligence; instead, he believed it would be given to career CIA officers who were persuasive and could get Keane to soften some of his more extremist positions.
