The protagonist in the action-adventure game Outcast.
Cutter is an ex-Navy SEAL tasked with the protection of a team of scientists sent to a parallel universe to find and repair a probe which is causing all kinds of inter-dimensional trouble. The game starts with our hero waking up alone in the home of Zokrim, one of the Dolotai guardians.
Zokrim and the others Cutter encounters in this strange new world are of an alien race known as the Talan. They seem to know Cutter somehow and refer to him as the "Ulukai", a sort of messiah-figure sent by the "Yods" to retrieve a set of ancient artifacts and overthrow the evil ruler Fae Rhan.
Cutter agrees to help the Talan in return for their assistance in finding the probe and the missing scientists.
