Clea Dessendre, also known as The Mistress, is a member of the Dessendre family and a highly skilled Paintress in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Brilliant, perceptive, and implacable, Clea is the eldest daughter of the Dessendre family. Her motivations have changed drastically since her brother's death. Her sole goal now is to crush the Writers to avenge her brother and secure the future of Painters.

Ambitious and determined, she always sets herself unattainable goals and describes herself as an occasional misanthrope. Often perceived as intimidating and insensitive, Clea cares deeply about the future of her family and the Painters, in her own way.
