Christopher Herrmann is a fictional character from NBC’s Chicago Fire, portrayed by David Eigenberg. A veteran member of the Chicago Fire Department and Firehouse 51, Herrmann began his career as a firefighter with Truck 81 before becoming a lieutenant and later serving as a captain. He is known for his courage, loyalty, leadership, humor, and dedication to his fellow firefighters.

Herrmann is also a devoted husband to Cindy Herrmann and father of five children. Outside the firehouse, he is associated with Molly’s, the bar he co-owns with fellow firefighter Randall “Mouch” McHolland. His long service, mentorship of younger firefighters, and commitment to Firehouse 51 make him one of the veteran members of the Chicago Fire ensemble.
