Charles

Charles (known as Santa in the Japanese version) is a talking monkey and Tomba's best friend. He meets Tomba in the first game and later befriends in Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return. He is loyal to Tomba and his friends and can sometimes be impulsive, as shown in the second game, where he runs off to help people out whenever someone needs help.
