Captain Toby Shandy

Tristram Shandy's uncle from the novel The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman, by Laurence Sterne. After sustaining a groin-wound in battle, Toby retires and spends the rest of his day studying military history. He is a kind-hearted soul, according to Tristram, he wouldn't hurt a fly.
