Buck Turgidson

General Buck Turgidson is the semi-protagonist and major character in the film Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. He is the overly patriotic and insane Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who despises the Soviet Union and Communism.

He was portrayed by the late George C. Scott.
