Bob Newby was a major character in the second season of Stranger Things. He was the manager at the local Hawkins RadioShack. Sometime in 1984, Bob began dating Joyce. After the Demodogs' invasion left him, Joyce and her son, Hopper and Mike trapped in Hawkins Lab, Bob volunteered to restore the power system. He succeeded, which helped the group escape, but sadly he was attacked and killed by a Demodog before he could make it to safety.

Most of us will also remember him as Sam in Lord of the Rings.Bob Newby, Joyce Byers’ goofy and kind boyfriend, was the caring father Will and Jonathan never had, and the zest of positivity Joyce needed in her life. Bob’s fate in Season 2 got us teary and so for us, he has joined Barbara in the list of characters who deserved so much better. #JusticeForBob!” read more
