The Blue Ranger is a character present in every single season of Power Rangers & Super Sentai. It is one of only two colors always present - the other being red.
While traditionally male, the Blue Ranger is a unisex character with five of the blues within the core team (two in Power Rangers) being female.
It is not uncommon for a team to have more than one blue hero, with additional designations like Navy to distinguish them.
Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger/Power Rangers Dino Charge also introduced Cyan/Aqua into the mix, which some people tend to combine with the lighter-shade Blue Rangers, despite the color actually being the midway point between Blue and Green.
