Elias "Blitz" Kötz is an Attacking Operator featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. He has high armour rating and low mobility due to solely using the G52-Tactical Shield as his primary weapon and unique ability, which is capable of blinding enemies with an effect similar to a stun grenade.
Born in Bremen, Germany, on 2 April 1980. A student of the Hermann-Böse-Gymnasium, Kötz excelled academically and as a sportsman in the HBG's bilingual program. His imposing physique made him an exceptional athlete which he later carried to the field in his military training as a Schnelle Kräfte soldier in Kosovo. His jovial nature and academic background eased his transition from the military to the GSG-9. Following the 2008 Mumbai attacks, Kötz was integral to establishing an anti-terrorism unit in India as a trainer. Known for his tendency to use humour to diffuse stressful situations, Kötz is the first to rush a barricade and is always willing to place the team's safety over his own. He rejects the concept that his deeds are in any way heroic, as he feels it is his duty and will become self-effacing when met with overt praise.
