Barbie is a major character in Disney/Pixar's feature film Toy Story 3. She is a genuine doll toy line made by the company Mattel. Barbie did not feature in the first Toy Story film because Mattel did not authorize her use, as they feared the film would not be successful. However, after the success of the first movie (and Pixar in general), multiple Barbie dolls had small roles in Toy Story 2, prior to the debut of the franchise's definitive iteration in the second sequel.
