At the beginning of the series, Ashley holds some distrust towards aliens and thinks humanity shouldn't become to dependent on their alien allies. With some positive influence from Shepard, however, Ashley can become more comfortable with working alongside aliens, even saying that she can accept others dying for her because she would do the same for them.
