In Demonology Amon is a Marquis in Hell who commands forty legions of demons. He tells things of the past and the future.

Amon according with the infernal dictionary. It is described as a wolf with a serpent's tail that throws fire, a raven-headed man and dog teeth or just a raven-headed man.

Probably inspired by the Egyptian god Ammit.
