Alejandro Sosa

Alejandro "Alex" Sosa is a Bolivian drug lord (Boss of the Bolivian Cartel) and a known figure in Bolivia in general, having ties to the military. Sosa is called Alex by Tony Montana and Gaspar Gomez, as a nickname. He serves as Tony's chief nemesis and the main antagonist of the film and the game. Sosa is arguably one of the most, if not most powerful cocaine kingpin in South America. He manages the largest drug plantation in Bolivia and his Cartel is built like an army, occupying any territory Sosa sets his eyes on. Sosa's empire is so broad that not even the Colombians (those he doesn't employ) have dared attack it, although they are powerful rivals in the trade, and Sosa expresses concern that they may get so bold in the future that they may go to war against him. Sosa also had connections to the U.S. government.
