Cassandra Lee was born in little town, Barrie, just outside of Toronto, Ontario. The winter baby soon found herself gathered up and delivered to the prairies, where she spent most of her growing up years.
Wading through tent caterpillars and dodging mosquitos the size of small crop planes, Winnipeg became home for most of her childhood years. During this time, every Saturday night, she would nestle into her mother's favorite rocking chair while Chiller Thriller Theater flickered on the set. It was here she discovered that horror was not only terrifying, but intriguing as well.

After finding Stephen King's "Carrie", it was then that Cassandra decided to put pen to paper and try her hand at writing. College led to journalism, and then, a stint as lead singer for a rock band in the early nineties. During this time, she found a life that touched the Great Lakes of Ontario to the shores of Vancouver. As she went from gig to gig, journals were kept. Short stories scribbled in-between the odd song lyric or two, then tucked away.
The hair days of rock n' roll behind her, she settled down in Alberta and sliced through the boxed up vault-of-horror. Drawing on the nagging (and shrieking) bloody images within her imagination, she began writing again and... has settled quite nicely into the dark recesses of her mind.
