Her father is an antique seller and her mother a French teacher. In her youth she wanted to be like her idol singer Sylvie Vartan.
At sixteen, she studied in the studio of amateur theater (FCV) in Vigan and played a role in the play Aristophanes' Peace and enrolled in the Conservatory of Montpellier and Paris after two failures. In 1994, she married Clovis Cornillac with whom she has twins, Alice and Lily, born in 2001. They divorced in 2010. She is in a relationship with actor Bruno Debrandt. Recently they appeared in the roles of Laure Berthaud & Vincent Bremond in the series Spiral (Engrenages).
