Carly grew up in Burlington, Ontario, where she spent more time on the soccer pitch than just about anywhere else. Eventually she took her game down South on a full division one soccer scholarship where she worked on her soccer skills and her studies.
After her soccer career wrapped up it wasn't long before Carly fell in love with sports broadcasting. Her first job was with WBAL TV, the NBC affiliate in Baltimore, Maryland where the Orioles and Ravens gave her plenty to pay attention to.

Eventually Carly came home, spent some more time in the classroom honing her broadcasting skills and got her first break on Canadian soil covering the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a team reporter. Carly's career took her to Saskatchewan next, where she covered everything from the Alberta Junior Hockey League to chuck wagon racing and rodeo at the Calgary Stampede. The West called next and Carly answered the call from CTV Edmonton where she covered the Edmonton Oilers, the World Junior Hockey Championships and hurried hard, covering curling, including the Brier and the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
CBC Sports gave Carly the opportunity to come closer to home and work in Toronto at the heart of the national public broadcaster; with CBC Carly was a regular on CBC News Network as a sports host and reporter, but her most memorable accomplishments were working with the legendary cast and crew of Hockey Night in Canada and Ron MacLean as a rink-side reporter and mountainside reporter for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
These days Carly helps Canada wake up with their sports news and highlights as an anchor and reporter with Sportsnet Central. Carly is an ambassador for Reach for the Rainbow, a children’s charity that helps send boys and girls with disabilities to camp, and for BioSteel Sports, a lifestyle and nutrition brand. When she gets a break from the desk, Carly keeps busy by teeing it up and trying to get her handicap down!
