C.R. Milne

Christopher Robin Milne was an English author and bookseller and the only child of author A. A. Milne. As a child, he was the basis of the character Christopher Robin in his father's Winnie-the-Pooh stories and in two books of poems. After initially failing the medical examination, Milne served as an officer, sapper and platoon commander in the British Army during World War II, where he was posted to the Middle East and then to Italy.
