“Come up here so I can hold you.” Cindy whispered to her. Holding her arms out for Laura. Letting Laura know that she was needed.
Laura laid down beside her and put her head on Cindy’s shoulder. Both of them just laying there naked together, not saying a word.
“Do you really have to go home?” Cindy asked, breaking the silence.
“I really have to. If I'm not there to make dinner he will know something is up.” Laura muttered, knowing that she had to clean the house and make sure his work clothes were washed for the following day.
“I don't see why you put up with that.” Cindy sighed heavily.
“He never use to be this way. If he had been this way before we got married I never would've married him. You should know that by now.” Laura whispered to her.
“I know, but what made him change? Something had to make him change.” Cindy propped herself up on one elbow so that she could look at her.
“I don't know. I can't even tell you when he began changing. One thing I know is that I'm going to get out of this marriage soon. I can't keep living a miserable life with him. I want to be happy, happy the way I am with you right now.” Laura looked into her eyes and smiled at her.
