The Analyst

Posted : 16 years, 12 months ago on 30 April 2007 05:54

I just finished reading this book very early this morning. While it started off slow for me, the story was intriguing, so I stuck with it.

An analyst, about to start his yearly vacation, discovers a threatening letter, in which he is given an interesting choice: Play a game that involves figuring out the name of the source of the threat within fifteen days----if the analyst is unable to do this, then he must either kill himself, or live with the knowledge that not killing himself will result in the destruction of the life of a relative.

The book is fast-paced for a lot of it, but at times, drags a bit. I was only about halfway through the novel when the fifteen days were almost up, so I ended up figuring out what was going to happen (a little predictable there), but still a good read.

It definitely kept my attention despite the slow parts of the book. Well worth a read, for anyone who enjoys suspense.
