Scrappy Little Nobody review

Posted : 4 years, 2 months ago on 15 February 2020 02:42

This book was a delight to read. Anna Kendrick - made me feel like I was one of her girlfriends listening to her life story. Her memoir shares tales (spoiler) of her life growing up. First of all the first time I heard of Anna Kendrick was the 'mean girl' in Twilight. This is the introduction of how I became to know Anna Kendrick - now at first I wasn't too thrilled would she be type-cast into the mean girl of the series but then as the Twilight movies went on you become to love her character and realize she is there to help Bella Swan. That's beside the point Kendrick shares her life story of being a child .... Broadway performer! Did you that? I had no idea she was even into Broadway let alone a child stage star. I love how Kendrick shares her feelings, anxiety dealing with adults at such a young age with their lack of social cues to a young actor.

Within the book you find out about her: childhood, parents, goals, diary, friendships, friendships, moving out alone, boyfriends, sexual experiences (OMG so many of them it was kinda too much), kissing, being a star, dressing for hollywood, and so forth. It was such a great read - honestly I felt like her sister reading her diary. I love Anna Kendrick - now I"m not a fan of Pitch Perfect but I do love Up in the Air, Twilight, and her spunky self. She is also my age and her references of the early 90s brought me to loving her more.

If you want a great book that you can't put down. Check out Anna Kendrick's book! You will be left sharing and telling others to read it honestly. I felt like Mindy Kailing and Kendrick should be BFFs or work on a project together. So thankful for this book -
