The Longest Way Home (Gollancz S.F.) Reviews

Joseph is a boy who is a member of the Master race on a planet called Homeworld. In the beginning of the story, the subjugated race, known as Folk, kill the Masters where Joseph is staying. He escapes and begins a journey that is thousands of miles long on foot. Along the way, he meets intelligent native life-forms and learns more about the Folk.

As the story progresses, he becomes a very changed person.

To me, the most enjoyable parts of the story are the Indiginies and their philosophy of life which is very strange.
