Description: From Hell is a graphic novel by writer Alan Moore and artist Eddie Campbell, originally published in serial form from 1989 to 1998. The full collection was published in 1999 by Top Shelf Productions. Set during the Whitechapel murders of the late Victorian era, the novel speculates upon the identity and motives of Jack the Ripper. "15.3. I just didn't open up to this at all. The art is ugly and Alan Moore isn't doing his psychedelic thing at all. The historical accuracy is also very, very loose, and as far as I know, they probably mixed a lot of different suspects to come up with their own. I think this is forgivable, since we do know so very little about the real Jack the Knife. "
