Description: I know and own better more comprehensive books on british cooking but this was my first intrduction to this type of food and it still produces fantastic results in comparison with other books. The book contains a lot of british staples such as comonation chicken, various fish and meat pies, roasts and deserts. It is a little bit top heavy with roasts and pies (ignoring soups and stews) but the recipes that are there are simple and stay true to being authentic.
