A Fresh Piece of Ass: Diary of a Groper review

Posted : 13 years, 7 months ago on 17 September 2010 03:25

Bill O'Reilly intrigues me. On his show he can bug the crap out of me, he doesn't let people talk.. yet his books I rather enjoy.
This book mainly deals with his background, childhood and "religious" upbringing as he puts it. As a young boy we see that he was a trouble maker at his Catholic school with some of his "buds". We begin to see his transformation into his teenage and college years. He becomes rather annoyed with the "hippies" who interrupt him trying to attend his college classes at Marist college.
We find that as he grows up, he seems to have little knowledge on who God is. He fits the Catholic stereotype of "go to church on Easter and Christmas" type catholic, very well. Which is unfortunate in my view. He even says that they didn't read the Bible much and always "praying" to Mary, it's saddening to me.
What I mainly like is Bill's humor, although sometimes ridiculous, it never gets old. It's an enjoyable read, I would recommend it to others.
