Recently Iโve been reading more books with mistakes and less detail which made this book such a relief to read. Not only was it well written, there werenโt any major mistakes (bravo to the editor) and it was quite descriptive without being overly done.Itโs set in a modern London but with a magical difference, magicians are the ones that run the country. I enjoyed this fantasy featuring the djinii Bartimaeus. I liked his footnote asides and his trying to fulfill his missions without getting caught. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, The Golem's Eye.Manufacturer: Hyperion Books
