Recently Iโ€™ve been reading more books with mistakes and less detail which made this book such a relief to read. Not only was it well written, there werenโ€™t any major mistakes (bravo to the editor) and it was quite descriptive without being overly done.

I enjoyed this fantasy featuring the djinii Bartimaeus. I liked his footnote asides and his trying to fulfill his missions without getting caught. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, The Golem's Eye.
