She was born in India, and is part Swiss part American but has made England her home since the age of 10.She trained first as an actress at the Drama Centre London and then film directing at City University and Raindance.On graduating she landed a part in Danny Boyle's The Beach, later working with Danny again in 28 Days Later.In 2001 Bindu founded her own theatre company (Make a Play Productions-MaPP) writing, producing and later directing plays.
