Beatriz Guido was an Argentine novelist member of the Generation of 55.
His work -very marked by the fascination with the Catholic religion- focuses on the dramatic analysis of the national socio-political reality, the psychological introspection of his oppressed characters and in questioning the sexual repressions towards young people, prevailing in the upper classes and small-bourgeois Argentines.
Along with Silvina Bullrich and Martha Lynch was one of the three most read Argentine novelists of his time.
