Description: Aston Ian Merrygold (born 13 February 1988) is a singer of boyband JLS who were the runner ups of the fifth series of The X Factor in the United Kingdom in 2008. Aston was born in 1988 in Peterborough, where he grew up and attended Jack Hunt School. Whilst still at secondary school, he played football on behalf of England in the European Youth Games. He grew up wanting to be a footballer until he got a call about joining a boyband. He has five brothers and one sister.
