Arthur E. Arling, A.S.C. was a Hollywood cinematographer and cameraman known for 1939's "Gone with the Wind" and 1946's "The Yearling", for which he won a joint Oscar which he shared with Charles Rosher and Leonard Smith. He was nominated for an Oscar for the 1955 Lillian Roth biopic "I'll Cry Tomorrow". Arling served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
