She has 2 other sisters Shibani Dandekar- who is elder to her & Apeksha Dandekar who is younger to her. They have a band by the name of D-Major that has done a lot of live performances including an opening act for Akon for the KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS. Dandekar was born on 9 January 1981 in Sudan.
