born Anita Dorothea Schmidt, was a German actress. She started as stage actress in 1921, first in German cities, and in 1923-25 in Prague. In 1926 she had her debut as film actress in Die Mühle von Sanssouci, acting next to Otto Gebühr, Jacob Tiedtke and Olga Tschechowa, after which some 15 silent films followed, among which 3 films directed by Jaap Speyer (Liebeshandel, 1927; Bigamie, 1927; Die Sache mit Schorrsiegel, 1928). She also played Trilby in Gennaro Righelli's Svengali (1927) and performed Friederike of Prussia in both Königin Luise I and II (Karl Grune 1927) which was scripted by Ludwig Berger.
