A celebrated stage actress known for a decade of blistering roles that include Vanda in Venus in Fur (Golden Apple Theatre), Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra (Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan), Mo in Mo and Jess Kill Susie (Northern Light Theatre) and her powerhouse turn as Elizabeth and 22 other characters in the one woman "tour-de-force" The Syringa Tree (Globe Theatre). Most recently she was part of the 2014/15 English Theatre ensemble at the National Arts Centre, a company member with Toronto's Soulpepper Theatre and starred as the Wicked Witch of the West in the Dora award-winning production of The Wizard of Oz at Young People’s Theatre.

Matysio is the creator/writer, co-producer and star of the critically acclaimed web comedy inSAYSHAble, which garnered her a "Best Actress" win at both LA WebFest and HollyWeb, a Vancouver WebFest win for “Best Comedy”, a "Best Actress" nomination at New York Web Fest and a pilot development deal with City TV.

Notable film credits include starring as rifle toting Sheriff Tina Walsh in the wildly successful horror comedy WolfCop, New Line Cinema's Just Friends (opposite Ryan Reynolds and Anna Farris), Jennifer Lynch’s Chained, Stephen King's Dolan's Cadillac, Stranded starring Christian Slater and indie feature Lawrence and Holloman. Small screen credits include Rookie Blue (Global/ABC), Emmy winning Odd Squad (PBS), inSecurity (CBC), Corner Gas (CTV), as well as a recurring role in Single White Spenny (Showcase) and the Canadian Screen Award winning web series Space Riders: Division Earth (CTV/Hulu). Upcoming releases include the highly anticipated feature Another WolfCop, digital series Epic Studios (with EpicLLOYD, Epic Rap Battles of History) and Save Me (CBC), as well as season two of the multi-cam comedy The Guilt Free Zone (APTN).

An accomplished improviser and 8 time Canadian Comedy Award nominee known for her "brilliant comedic timing" [LA Weekly], Matysio has been a core member of the acclaimed General Fools Improv Theatre company since 1997, a main stage player with the Vancouver Theatresports League, a featured performer at improv festivals across North America and a recurring player at Bad Dog Theatre in Toronto, recently closing a sold-out run of True Blue, an improvised crime drama.

As a voice artist she has lent her unique sound to numerous brands including McDonalds, Astro Yogurt and RBC, while creating a wild variety of voices for CBC radio programs including Ideas, SoundXchange and This is That. She is currently recording a new animated series for 9Story.
