Alice Bird is a British actress born and raised in London, daughter of engineer Bryn Bird and fashion designer June Bird. Upon seeing Alice Cry when the stage was dismantled at her primary school, her mother enrolled her in acting classed and Alice has not looked back since. Alice then starred in Michael Tchoubouroff's feature film "Diagnosis: Superstar" and had the pleasure of working alongside Bill Nighy in Richard Eyre's "Notes on A Scandal". Since then Alice has played lead roles in TV series "Push", the stage version of Dante's "La Vita Nouva", feature film "Picnic in Gaza" and had the privilege of playing the title role of "Anastasia" on stage in Bloomsbury Square before starring in the feature film "If it Be Love" which she won Best Actor for at the London Independent Film Festival. The also film went on to become a successful stage show. In 2013 she played lead roles in seven short films. She is proud to have co-written and produced the award winning "I'm in the Corner with the Bluebells" which was officially selected for the Toronto international film festival as well as festivals worldwide. She also made "La Tamise", with Philip Bloom which screened at the Curzon Soho as part of the 2014 London sort film festival. "Venus and Mars" shot in Iceland and London was screened at the Richmix cinema. Alice then played opposite Derek Jacobi in a rehearsed reading of "De Rapu Meo" which was produced for the stage with her still cast. She then played the title role in a very successful stage production of "Miss Julie". Alice also played lead roles in two more feature films. She won best actress for her role in "A Reason to Leave" where she stars opposite Mark Wingett and Claire King. In "The Subject" she plays the central character Sally, an artist who lands an unexpected exhibition. The film is due to be released in 2017. Alice's latest producing project will be seen at The Secret Garden Party 2017.
