Alexandra is an experienced composer and music producer with a fast-growing portfolio of onscreen works ranging from commercials to feature films. She studied music at Liverpool John Moore's University, graduating with a First and going on to train in music production at Manchester's School of Sound Recording before moving to London in 2017 to pursue her career in film, where she resides today.
This Yorkshire-born musician has proven herself repeatedly over her four years composing for the screen, which began with a bang when her first composition was premiered at Cannes Film Festival 2017 in the Short Film Corner. Since then she has worked steadily, proudly accomplishing two original feature film scores before the age of 30 and developing a prestigious brand repertoire that includes CNN, the World Tourism Association and Coco de Mer. She has also worked on several film projects developed at the London Film School where she has firmly established herself working on scoring the students' film productions, to much accolade at the school.
Alexandra started out DJing at age 18, which soon led her into the world of music production. She begun her career releasing as a solo artist, and has so far released two EPs and two collaborative singles, with more releases on the horizon. An enduring love of the UK garage, grime and jungle scenes greatly influenced her early productions - her hard-hitting EP "Back of Beyond" (2018) on Borg Ltd. received high praise in Bandcamp's 'Best New UK Garage' editorial and is still drawing attention in the garage scene today, including a recent feature in a UK Garage Special selection for Threads Radio.
She has since moved away from the dance music realm, and has focused herself solely on composing and arranging for the screen. Her passion and immersion in the projects she works on have lead to some extraordinary working relationships, with directors who return to work with her time and again.
From the very beginning Alexandra's sound has been bold, emotive and genre-bending, thanks to her eclectic musical palate and years spent DJing both in the UK and Ibiza. With 10 years diligently honing her craft, Alexandra takes pride in her unique style and experimental approach to her compositions.
