Alan Wareing (born 16 August 1943 in Chorley, Lancashire) is a British television director. He has directed hundreds of episodes of Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
He became interested in directing through amateur theatre. He directed many plays then started working in television, first as an assistant floor manager and then as a production assistant before taking the BBC's director's course.
