A very good movie

I have seen this movie many times, I even saw it in the movie theater when it was released and it has never lost its appeal. Basically, it is a gorgeous picture at the same time dark and bleak but also joyful and charming. However, I find it rather annoying that Tim Burton got most of the credit concerning this picture when in fact, Henry Selick is the one who actually directed the whole thing. Eventually, in my opinion, Henry Selick is the one responsible for his greatness whereas Tim Burton was too busy working on other projects to actually directing it ... Selick should be the one credited for this jewel, not Burton. Of course, I have to admit it, you can see Tim Burton's influence as he provided many sketches in order to create the characters. Anyway, it is one of the darkest fairy tales I have ever seen, it is very bold and you should probably don't show it to young children. Anyway, it is visually mind-blowing, the characters are fascinating and I even liked the songs . In this genre, it is the best of its kind and, as far as I'm concerned, it is way better than 'Corpse Bride', 'James and the Giant Peach' or 'Coraline'. To conclude, it is a great picture and it is definitely worth a a look, especially if you like the genre.
