Review of Thunderheart

A very good movie

Back in the 90's, Val Kilmer was a respected actor but not so much anymore but I still have a weak spot for him. This flick is now pretty much forgotten but it is actually pretty good and it is easily one of Val Kilmer's best perfomances. Back then, there was some controvery because Val Kilmer doesn't have any Indian ancestor but I thougt he looked the part and provided a very convincing performance. There is a very interesting mix of a realistic and gripping police story with some indian mysticism and, as a result, I thought the story was really fascinating. Anyway, it is an underrated gem and it is definitely worth a look.

This is a very good film, from the writer of "Hidalgo" and "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron".
