Right off the bat it kind of feels like Van Helsing meets Underworld. I mean it even has 2 of the actors from Underwold Bill Nighy and Kevin Grevioux. It's got the look and feel of pretty much all the modern day remakes of good folklore. With that said that doesn't give us anything really positive to say. It has a few good stars, but not anybody so big that you have to drop what you're doing to go see it. Ah Bill Nighy you go back to disappointing me again. He just doesn't do villains very well in my opinion. Yuck! Watch something he is good in like About Time. The dialogue is a bit cheesy at times. The demons look like copycats from Buffy the Vampire Slayer while the gargoyles are much more interesting and give us something new to look at. I also thought the way the creatures die is pretty interesting for gargoyles and demons alike. However the little cloth that comes when a gargoyle dies is pretty lame. The battle scenes are the most interesting things in this. The ending was so damn cheesy. Wow they really took the extra mile to make it look like Buffy the Vampire Slayer as killing the head demon caused there to be a giant hole where the hellmouth once was lol. I'd say it's average at best and if you should happen to want to see it check it out when it comes to television.
