The film it's divided in three chapters which portrays different stages of Takaki Tono's life having to deal with distance between the girl he loves.

If you ever had someone you like somehow taken away from you by a large distance then 5 centimeters per second it's going to describe your feelings perfectly, I really feel in Takaki's place, sometimes...

Different from others Makoto Shinkai's works this film doesn't have science fiction elements which creates a realistic view of the world we live in, and how sometimes we hold on so tight in our past but time and distance slowly separate we from the past and even if two person like each other one day they just move on with their lifes letting go of their hearts, learning how to grow up.

Soundtrack is great, background is beautifully made, skies are stunning. It's a simple yet complex story about life.

10/10
