Leonardo DiCaprio is, right now, one of the most interesting actors at work nowadays adays and I wasn't really surprised to see him making a movie with the great Ridley Scott. To complete this awesome combination, you have Russell Crowe so this flick definitely had some potential. First of all, as usual with Ridley Scott, the directing is nothing short of awesome with some great shots and some pretty bad-ass action scenes. Furthermore, DiCaprio and Crowe deliver some decent performances and I thought they were both pretty convincing. Still, even though it was pretty good and certainly entertaning, I can't say it really blew my mind. Like many movies directed by Scott, the visuals are great but the story is quite shallow. I mean, the plot keeps you interested during the whole thing but after a while, it tends to loose focus and, at the end of day, it is a rather generic spy story, nothing more, nothing less. Still, I thought it was very well made, I really enjoyed it and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you are interested in Ridley Scott's work.
