While watching the damned thing, I kept thinking that I would have love to watch it when I was a kid. Indeed, back then, I read all the comic-books and, as a matter of fact, I still have them. Anyway, first of all, I was quite impressed by how gorgeous the whole thing looked. Seriously, even though it was really realistic and beautifully detailed, it still had a nice cartoonish feeling. It was very well done and some of the action scenes were even downright amazing. I must say that Robert Zemeckis with his 3 stop-motion animated flicks never reached such a high-quality level. Concerning the 3D, it was ok but I'm pretty sure the movie would have been fine without it. To be honest, I didn't expect that they would change the story so much but I guess it was a good thing since I wasn't sure about what would come next every 5 seconds. Still, even if I would have enjoyed it even more if I would have been a kid, to be honest, when you think about the it, the story was nothing mind-blowing whatsoever but it was entertaining enough. To conclude, in spite of its flaws, I thought it was a decent watch and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you are a fan of Tintin.
