I'm looking for help from the community in terms of additions of films that are not yet on this list. This is a work in progress, so I know there are lots left to be added. I have made a few guideline of what I'm including on this list, which are:
-It must be a full length novel/book (no comics, short stories, etc.)
-Children's books and play adaptations will be included
-TV movies will not be included
-There are many books that have multiple film adaptations, but only 1 will be used for each book/novel
If you have ones that need to be added, please post in this topic.

Both films are based on the book, and both of them are quite similar in their own way, and no where close to accuracy on the other hand.
Here are some more you are missing off top of my head
In A Lonely Place
Dark Passage
The Big Sleep
Murder My Sweet (Farewell My Lovely)
The Treasure of Sierra Madre
Out of the Past (Build My Gallows High)
Whatever Happened To Baby Jane
Carlito's Way
The Godfather (Both of them are based on the book and The Sicilian)
I know there's a lot more but that's just off top of my head.
