Tom's definitely your man if you want the link to your profile changed. You can always simply change what's displayed by going to "Edit my profile" at home or while viewing your profile.

But I dont need to change the display name. how do I change the USER name? the one used when you log in? there seems to be no place to do that and for me it's rather important for my privacy.

You should message Tom (the calm and serine island above) about changing the name you use to log in.
