Listal vs. LibraryThing

I'm totally loving Listal - the UI, the simplicity, the ability to so easily build and share lists. However, having found LibraryThing before Listal, I've managed to catalogue nearly 200 of my books over there, and it's good because it searches the Library of Congress as well as Amazon. Listal appeals to me because its interface isn't as clumsy, and it includes DVDs and CDs as well, but I wish its searchable databases had the thoroughness of LT - otherwise I would totally go for Listal!
Can we at least add items manually?
Or have advanced search options?

Thanks first of all for your encouraging comments.
Add custom items definitely coming soon, next week (this has been the most requested feature).
Advanced search - what advanced features do you you want? I can't see that library thing has that much more advanced search than mine beside the fact that it supports more data sources.
btw I may try and add an importer.

More of what I really like about Listal - intuitive URLs make pages insanely easy to share. Insanely! :)
Anyway, what I meant by "advanced search options" was the ability to search by more than just titles. Search by director/author, by UPC/ISBN, by publisher would be nice - because sometimes one-word simple titles yield too many matches, and it becomes very hard to sift through...
An importer would be great!
Will you be supporting more data sources as well?

You can search by author! Try 'dan brown' you have to click on the matches found link to get all the author results. You have to get the author exactly as it is listed on amazon at the moment.
ISBN is possible through the main book page under 'Add product' (www.listal.com/view/books). I may try and detect for isbns in the main search.
No immediate plans for more data sources but they may be added in the future, I will be adding a add custom item option though.

an importer from library thing would be excellent - I have stuff over there too which I want to add here

Still waiting to import from librarything..... been over a year.

I'd LOVE to be able to import from librarything!!

I checked out librarything and listal on the same day and thought listal the better site. That's why I'm here and not there ;))

I have books at both and would love it if there was a way to interact between the two. LibraryThing makes it really easy to upload books from all over the place, including Vox. It isn't as pretty, but it is much more powerful as far as book cataloging goes since it is single focused. It's way easier to manage all of the data - there's not even any comparison as far as that goes. But Listal and LibraryThing are different enough that I think a lot of people would use both if there was a way they could talk to each other.

And if LibraryThing were free. ;) I did my 200 free and left it for here. Although, saying that, I think I prefer here (bookwise) even though there are still creases to be ironed out.
